West Perth resident charged in intimate partner violence investigation

A West Perth resident is facing charges in an intimate partner violence investigation.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to a home just after 9 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27. 

They believe one person assaulted another. Minor injuries were reported.

A 37-year-old has been charged with:

  • Assault - Spousal
  • Assault Causing Bodily Harm - Choke, suffocate or strangle

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Stratford court at a later date.

“Victims of sexual assault/domestic violence are not alone,” said OPP in a news release. “If you, or someone you know, is in need of support, there are local resources available to help.”
