Timothy Kokkas is wanted by Stratford police.

Stratford police are looking for a 39-year-old male wanted for recent thefts and break enters, who has more than 50 separate charges before the courts.

Police responded to reports of thefts from vehicles on Monday along Wingfield Drive. Timothy Kokkas was identified as the suspect through residential video surveillance, however, police were unable to locate him and issued a warrant.

On Tuesday, police were again contacted, this time by a Grange Street resident reporting that a male was captured on video surveillance attempting to enter the home early on the previous Sunday. That male returned to the residence again Wednesday morning at 4 a.m., where a window was broken and the home entered before the male fled without stealing anything.

Video surveillance from both incidents identified the male as Timothy Kokkas and further warrants were requested.

Charges against Kokkas date back to 2022 and the vast majority are theft and break and enter-related, as well as breaching conditions.

Stratford police ask anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Kokkas to contact 519-271-4141, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or www.p3tips.com.

Police noted the incidents were a good example of the benefit of video surveillance and a reminder to register your camera with the Stratford Police Service SCRAM  Program at: https://www.stratford.ca/en/live-here/crime-prevention.aspx.
