Police in Stratford say they have charged one teenager and are seeking to locate a second after an assault Monday at Stratford District Secondary School.

The Stratford Police Service said they received a report of an assault at the Forman Avenue school that occurred earlier in the day.

That’s when two students, age 13 and 14, attacked a 15-year-old within the hallways of the school, according to police.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault, police said in a news release.

The 14-year-old suspect was later located and arrested. A charge of assault was laid and the accused is scheduled for a court appearance on Oct. 19.

The 13-year-old suspect in the case remains outstanding at this time, police said.

“The matter continues to be actively investigated and updates will be provided when available,” the police news release states.

“At this time, police believe this attack to be an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the public.”
