Officer suffers minor injuries responding to North Perth disturbance

Police responded to the disturbance shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday

A 43-year-old woman from North Perth is charged with assaulting a police officer during an altercation on Aug. 5. 

Perth OPP reported to a report of a disturbance on Elizabeth Street at 7:55 p.m. During the investigation, an officer sustained minor injuries. 

The accused was charged, released from custody and is scheduled to appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford in October.
