Friday night theft: painting stolen from Eagle Drive home

Stratford police are looking for a painting that was stolen and later discarded and likely picked up another person. 

Police received a call on Monday, Aug. 28 about the theft from a residence on Eagle Drive. The theft occurred late in the evening on the previous Friday. 

The painting is described as having a field of poppies in the foreground with mountains in the background. It is two feet x three feet in size and has a gold frame. 

Police believe the painting was discarded along Delamere Avenue after it was stolen and likely picked up by an unknown person on the Saturday or Sunday after the Friday night theft.
