Warriors win Midwestern Conference playoffs

Stratford Warriors won the Midwestern Conference Cherrey Cup playoff championship after a 3-1 win over Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins on Friday. 

The Warriors won the best-of-seven junior B series in six games.

Zach Hatch, Patrick Cole and Zac McCann all scored in the second period to lead the Warriors to the championship at the William Allman Arena. 

Will Elliott scored for the Siskins. 

Owen Willmore had 39 saves for the Warriors in front of an announced crowd of 2,200.

Nolan Chartrand had 22 saves for the Siskins.

Leamington Flyers beat St. Marys Lincolns in five games in the Western Conference playoff final. 

The Hamilton Kilty B's beat Caledonia Corvairs in four straight games in the Golden Horseshoe playoff final.
