Honours even thus far in Sutherland Cup junior B round-robin

Stratford host Hamilton on Tuesday night at the William Allman Memorial Arena.

Stratford Warriors have a win and a loss after two games of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Sutherland Cup round-robin. 

Leamington Flyers tripped up the Warriors 6-1 on Friday night at the William Allman Memorial Arena. 

Connor MacPherson scored twice. Trevor LaRue, William VanSumeren, Ryan MacPherson and Hayden Reid also scored for the Flyers.

Sheldon Pryce had the lone goal for Stratford. 

Bryce Walcarius stopped 26 of 27 shots for Leamington. Owen Willmore had 33 saves for Stratford. 

Stratford opened the home-and-home round-robin last week with a big 6-3 road win over Hamilton Kilty B's at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.

Zac McCann scored a hat trick, including a power play goal and an empty netter for the Warriors. Jonas Schmidt, Cole Lewis and Jackson McLlwain also scored for the Warriors. Matthew Downie, Carson Lloyd and Dawson McKinney had the goals for Hamilton.

Owen Willmore had 28 saves for the Warriors. Leland Gill and Gabriel Longo combined for 24 stops for the Kilty B's.

The Warriors host Hamilton Tuesday night in a pivotal game at the William Allman Memorial Arena, beginning at 7:30 p.m. 

Hamilton beat Leamington 5-4 on Sunday night, so all three teams in the round-robin are 1-1 with two games left each. 

Stratford beat Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins in the Midwestern Conference playoff final. Hamilton won the Golden Horseshoe conference while Leamington won the Western Conference playoff championship.

Stratford travel to Leamington on Thursday and Hamilton host Leamington on Sunday in the final game of the round-robin. 

The top two teams after the round-robin play a best-of-seven series for the Sutherland Cup provincial junior B championship.
