North Perth driver charged with having open container of alcohol

A North Perth resident is facing charges after being stopped at a RIDE checkpoint.

Ontario Provincial Police were set up in the area of Perth Road 147 and Line 81 just before 9 p.m. Saturday when the driver arrived.

Officers charged the 45-year-old with driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.

In addition, they were handed a three-day license suspension.
