Area crashes lead to charges

The separate crashes happened within hours of each other on August 19

A pair of drivers have been charged after separate crashes in the area on Saturday. 

Around 9:01 a.m. on Aug. 19, officers with the Perth County OPP responded to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle on Perth Line 26 and  Highway 7/19 in Perth East. 

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

A 73-year-old from Kitchener is charged with fail to yield - yield sign. 

Around 1:26 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 7/19 in Perth South. 

A police investigation determined that a vehicle collided with another vehicle that resulted in a third vehicle getting hit with debris. 

Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries. 

A 47-year-old from London has been charged with careless driving.
