Barbara Diane Uniac, age 92, formerly of Stratford, passed away at Almonte, ON., September 1, 2023. Born in Toronto, daughter of the late Charles and Marguarite (Phalen) Rolls. Diane was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Kenneth Patrick Uniac on October 11, 2006, and her eldest son Larry Uniac on February 28, 2018. She relocated to Almonte Ontario in March 2020, living at Orchard View Retirement Residence. Proud mother of her surviving sons David and Mark (Gail). She will be fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Joy. Loving grandmother of Ashley Hassan, Chase Uniac, Peter Uniac and Graham Uniac, along with her two great grandchildren Melia and Mikail Hassan as well as many nieces and nephews.
Diane was employed by the Stratford District Catholic School Board as a school secretary at St. Aloysius School for 23 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Stratford and a member of the Catholic Women’s League. Diane also enjoyed her time volunteering at Stratford General Hospital.
Family and friends are invited to Diane’s visitation on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
