December 13, 1950  -  October 12, 2023

Peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family, Barbara Jane Snider passed away October 12th, 2023 at the age of 72.

Barb was the cherished wife of Robert (Bob) Snider for nearly 47 years. She was the treasured mother of Stacey Snider and husband Sean Hewitt. She was most proud of her grandchildren, whom she never failed to let know how much they were loved. She will be sorely missed by Lily, Elle, and Maya Friesen, and Max and Jack Hewitt.

Predeceased by her parents Roy and Marjorie Crane, and survived by her 3 siblings, Richard Crane of Melbourne Australia, Doug (Susan) Crane of Cambridge, ON, and Susan (Bob) Murch of Kelowna, BC. Also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews, Chris (Dana) Crane, Erin Crane, Todd (Lynn) Crane, and Spencer (Taylor) Murch.

Barb was loved by everyone who knew her. She could make friends anywhere. She spent her career in Human Resources, but her joy came from travelling around the world with Bob. They loved planning their next adventure and having good food and wine in so many countries and whenever possible, with a view of the water. She loved to bowl with her ladies' 'Vette" league at Mike's Bowling, eventually becoming ladies' league president. She loved children, and deeply enjoyed being 'Grandma Barb' volunteering at the childrens' schools, on field trips, and serving breakfast to kids to be sure they had full tummies to learn. She also really enjoyed attending her granddaughters' dance competitions, traveling Southern Ontario to see their performances.

At Barb's wishes, cremation has taken place. A drop-in celebration of Barb's life will be held at Mike's Bowling Lanes Saturday October 21st from 3-4:30 pm. We invite all our friends to come bowl a ball in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breakfast Program, by credit card (through the link below) to Avon Maitland District School Board, (with note to Charity : designated to Breakfast Program at Anne Hathaway School, or to  Breakfast Program at Bedford School), or you can donate direct to this charity through the following website link:  http://foundationforeducation.ca/ with a note stating it is to go to the breakfast program at Anne Hathaway or the breakfast program at Bedford School, would be appreciated.

Barb never wanted a child to suffer, and especially not to be hungry.
