Shirley Helen Pautler, age 88, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Stratford General Hospital.
Born in St. Marys, ON, daughter of the late Joeseph and Dorothy (Kendall) Billings. Survived by her true love and best friend Roy Pautler of 70 years. Loving mother of Darcy (Trudy), Terry (Terry), Danny (Sherry), Randy (Teresa) and Penny (Kevin). Grandmother of Arley (Sophie), Lauren (Stewart), Justin (Hanna), Jarrett (Jenna), Jazz Lynn (Jay), Zachary, Kyle (Yuliia), Ashley (J.P.), Dylan, Stefan (Belinda), Nathan. Great Grandmother Madison, Braeden, Kaleigh, Autumn, Henry, Hayden, Quintin, Janessa, Lucas, Dean, Bailee, Caster, Zaya, Cleo, Khenan, Kage, Sophie, Colby and Chanel. Shirley will be fondly remembered by her siblings Joyce Court, Pidge Woodhouse, and Barry (Tammy), John (Donna) and Ben Billings.
Shirley loved music, especially the piano and dancing. She played in the Hand Bell Choir at St. Paul’s Anglican Church for 15 years. Shirley also volunteered countless hours for Meals- on-Wheels for 21 years. She bowled for 58 years at Mikes Lanes, she worked at Stratford General Hospital in the coffee shop for 20 years and Red Cross Home Care for 17 years. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her brother Joe Billings and sisters Donna Trott, Fay Foreman and Kim Miller.
Friends and relatives are invited to Shirley’s visitation on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. Interment will follow in Avondale Cemetery.
