Margaret Larocque, age 73, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener on February 24, 2024. Born in Stratford, September 1, 1950, daughter of the late Alexander and Maria Protas.
Beloved wife of Robert Larocque. Loving mother of Angelique, Chris (Trevor). Grandmother of Joshua, DaSilva and Noah Larocque. Sister of Alex Protas (Mona) and their children Nadia and Nusha. Cousin of Tatiana Soltan, Walter Protas (Karin). Lovingly remembered by her extended family Bill and Diana Anthony, Sharon Bettschen, Janet and Paul Nisbet-Stroh, Dave, Julie and Brandon Jintes, Pat and Joanne Pilkey.
Margaret worked for Parkway Drive-In, A & W, Sears Canada and helped at the Food Bank for many years. She was a member of Pioneer Park Church of God. Margaret and Robert enjoyed their home in Florida, visited many countries with Bradley Walters. She enjoyed knitting, swimming and helping in her community.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, March 1, 2024 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.
