Lillian Marjori Jones, age 90, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at West Perth Village, Mitchell on May 4, 2023. Born in Long Branch, York County, daughter of the late Harry and Violet (Jackson) Hamill.
Beloved wife of the late Wallace Jones who predeceased her in 1991. Loving mother of Bob Jones (Linda deceased) and Irene McCann (Bruce). Grandmother of Jessica Thom (Ian), Dana Duskocy (Pam), David Jones (Kristian), Michael Jones (Tara). Great grandmother of Danyka, Jake, Owen, Marshall, Atticus, Sawyer, Isaac and Adelaide. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and longtime companion Irene MacDonald.
Predeceased by her grandson Chris Duskocy, sister Connie Douglas (Murray), brothers Ed Hamill (Kay) and Jack Hamill (Marie).
Lillian and her husband owned and operated the Ceramic Shop of Erie Street for many years. She was a support worker at Community Living Stratford for 28 years and was a member of the Ruth Rebekah Lodge, Stratford.
The family would like to thank the staff of West Perth Village for their compassion and for being a friend to Lillian.
A graveside service will be held at Avondale Cemetery, 4 Avondale Avenue, Stratford (Section 14) on Thursday, May 11, at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Perth County through the W.G.
