Laura Christine Illingworth, age 91, formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully at Maitland Manor in Goderich on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Born in London, Ontario, daughter of the late Lloyd and Christine Gould. Beloved wife of the late John Illingworth (2022). Loved mother of Linda Van Kooten (friend Ken) of Stratford, Beverly Hesse Hearn of Roatan, Honduras and Barbara Wahl (David) of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Dear sister of Lloyd Gould (Helen), Carol Champion (late Ken), Wayne Gould (Linda) and Penny Francis (Jerry). Proud grandmother of Jacob (Stacey), Lucas (Linsey), Kayla (Ian), Laura, Travis and Jessica. Great grandmother of Annika, Ashton, Aaden, Adalynn and Christian. Laura is also survived and will be sadly missed by Cathy Pinnell and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Ann Hesse, sisters Violet and Marylou and brother Gary.
Visitation at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 pm. Following the interment in Avondale Cemetery a reception will be held in the funeral home reception center.
