Passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Stratford General Hospital.
Survived by his wife Lorraine and their sons Ryan and Kevin (Lana) Dale as well as his grandson Travis, who brought Paul great joy over the last few years. Paul is survived by his brothers Wayne and Mike Dale (Sandy) and sisters-in-law Nora (Bruce) Swan and Joanne Hogue and brother-in-law Ed (Rose) Schuett and Ken Peck along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Wilson and Gladys Dale, brother Ron (Diane) Dale and sister Diane Peck and his mother and father-in-law Norma and Ed Schuett.
Paul spent many years as a salesman in the feed industry, and when he semi-retired, he drove school bus for First Student based at St. Joseph’s Public School in Stratford. My deepest gratitude to Ryan who helped his mom with things I no longer could do, while his brother lived out of province and couldn’t be here. A special thank you to our neighbours, especially Marilyn Buck and Ken Partridge who were of great help over the last years of Paul’s life. Also thank you to his friends, Gerry, Royce and Dennis for their visits to cheer him up. Sadly, missed by his pussycats, and his yellow and black 1969 Roadrunner which will remain in the family.
Also a big thank you to Dr. Andrew Prout who patiently allowed Paul to do things his way and to Dr. Paul Lussier and the nurses on the Medical Ward of Stratford General Hospital for all their perseverance and kindness during Paul’s last days. Cremation has taken place and at Paul’s request there will be no funeral service. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society or Feline Friends through the W. G.
