Dorothy Sandra Atchison
It comes with great sadness to announce the passing of Dorothy Atchison on February 7, 2024 at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Dorothy is predeceased by her sister Shirley and is survived by her loving brother Percy and his wife Ingrid Hartung. She was an incredible mother to Starr Atchison (son-in-law Scott Gordon), Ed Atchison, JP Atchison and Patrick Atchison (daughter-in-law Jessica Rae). She was a dearly beloved grandmother to Angel, Anthony, Ashley (Kyle), Cheyanne (Nick), Taylor (Evan), Nathan (Alyssa), Mercedes, Katrina and Kaitlyn. She was an amazing great grandmother to Piper, Harlow, Kylow, Seth, Sierra and Eva. Dorothy is survived by her nieces and nephews, and by her life-long best friend, Estelle Haase of Mitchell.
Special thanks to Steve Pauli, Jessica Rae, OneCare and Rotary Hospice for the outstanding care that they provided Dorothy throughout this journey. Dorothy also wanted to ensure that her family doctor, Dr. Brooks received a special thanks for the incredible care she received up until her last moments.
In keeping of Dorothy's wishes there will be a celebration of life on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
