Warriors win on the road, take command in playoff series

The Warriors now lead the best-of-seven GOJHL midwestern division quarterfinal series, 3-1. Game 5 is Friday night at William Allman Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Camden Daigle scored two goals, including a shorthanded marker, and the Stratford Warriors cemented a comeback with three unanswered goals in the third period of their 6-4 win over the Brantford Bandits at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Complex on Wednesday night. 

The Warriors now lead the best-of-seven GOJHL midwestern division quarterfinal series, 3-1. 

Stratford started fast with Carson's Harmer's goal nine seconds into the first period. Daigle's first of the game doubled the lead with three seconds left in the opening period. Daigle's third goal of the playoffs in the second period restored a two goal cushion after Shayle Simmons got Brantford on the scoreboard.

Juan Agromayor, Tyron Fevry and Carter Merritt scored for the Bandits, for a 4-3 lead after 40 minutes. 

Michael Denney, Cole Lewis and Brayden Stumpf, on the power play, each scored for the Warriors in the third period. 

Matt Perdue stopped 29 shots for the Warriors. Lennart Neisse turned aside 29 shots for the Bandits.

Game 5 is Friday night at William Allman Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m. If necessary, game 6 is Saturday in Brantford at 5 p.m. and game 7 would be back in Stratford on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
