ROTARY CLUB OF STRATFORD

Scott MacKenzie, Director of Corporate & External Affairs for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. and Toyota Canada Inc., will be the Rotary Club of Stratford’s guest luncheon speaker on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Mr. MacKenzie will focus his remarks on the impact of EV’s on the automotive industry, hydrogen powered vehicles, environmental policy, and where he sees the industry moving over the next five years.
This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from a global manufacturer on the changes that are rocking the automotive industry.
Mr. MacKenzie joined Toyota in 1999, and is now responsible for all External Affairs functions for Toyota Canada, including Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Public Relations, and Corporate Communications. His role in Government Affairs has seen him at the frontline of several key policy negotiations, most notably as a trusted advisor to the federal government on its successful negotiation of several international trade agreements. In his strategic planning role, Mr. MacKenzie has helped secure several new product lines for the company, including the introduction of RAV4 and Lexus NX to the groups North Plant.
Mr. MacKenzie was born and raised in Kitchener, educated at the University of Waterloo, and now resides in Waterloo with his wife and two children.

The Rotary Club of Stratford, chartered in May 1922, has 116 members. We meet each Thursday either in person or online via zoom.
The May 2nd meeting with Mr. MacKenzie will be in person at the Stratford Legion, 804 Ontario Street, Stratford, beginning at noon. Lunch will be served at 11:30 am. Members of the public are welcome.
