Friday 

Ontario Welsh Festival 2024

Noon to 3 p.m. @ Best Western Arden Park Hotel, 552 Ontario Street, Stratford. 

Taking place from Friday to Sunday, the Ontario Welsh Festival is a weekend celebrating Welsh music and culture and a concert featuring award-winning soloists direct from Wales. It takes place at the Arden Park Hotel, as well as Avondale United Church. 

Friday Night Sessions at The Bunker

8 p.m. @ The Bunker Performance Lounge and Cafe, 104 Wellington St., Stratford.

This evening has Wild Waters, Kyle Moning, and Lucas Smith hitting the stage for an “electrifying Friday evening.”

Stratford Farmer's Market 

7 a.m. to Noon @ Burnside Agriplex, 357 McCarthy Rd., Stratford. 

Organized by the Stratford and District Agricultural Society. Indoor market expands to outdoors May to October. Veggies, cheese, meats, baking, flowers, crafts, handmade gifts. Backbacon on a bun and farmer's sausage available via fundraising BBQ.

Earth Day Street Party 

11:30 to 2 p.m. @ Factory 163, 163 King St., Stratford. 

Join Climate Momentum and eco-neighbours this Saturday in honour of Earth Day, which takes place on Monday. There will be food, provided by The Planet Diner, Grounded, and Camp Coffee Company, live music, bike tune-ups, kids activities, and plenty of opportunities to meet like-minded individuals in Stratford and area. Organizers are also promising giveaways like seed bombs for those attending. 

Busy Hands: Vermicompost Bins Workshop

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. @ The Stratford Perth Museum, 4275 Huron Rd., Stratford. 

“This how-to vermicompost workshop is perfect for anyone who is interested in reducing their food waste footprint, creating nutrient-rich compost for their plants, or just wants to learn more about red wigglers. Come learn how to vermicompost! No experience necessary - all are welcome.” The cost is $100 and includes all the supplies participants need, provided by the Worm Wrangler. 

Saturday Night Live – Stephanie B Project

8 p.m. @ The Bunker Performance Lounge and Cafe, 104 Wellington St., Stratford.

Stephanie, a “seasoned professional hailing from the vibrant London music scene, is set to deliver a performance like no other,” according to The Bunker Performance Lounge and Cafe.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. @ Matilda Gallery and Art Bar, 85 Downie St., Stratford. 

The popular mexican restaurant is presenting a fusion brunch series at Matilda Gallery and Art Bar this Sunday. 

Stratford Legion Spring Tea

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. @ Royal Canadian Legion Branch 8, 804 Ontario St., Unit 1B, Stratford. 

The local legion and Ladies Auxillary are hosting a spring tea at the legion hall. Featuring finger sandwiches, dainties, door prizes, a silent auction, and lots of fun, tickets are $20.
