Perth County Ontario Provincial Police have charged a person with multiple offences after allegedly hitting a tree and leaving the scene.
The OPP said they were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Main Street East in North Perth on Monday.
They allege a driver drove into a tree and both the driver and passenger left the scene prior to police arrival.
Police said the two were located a short time later and did not sustain any injuries from the collision.
A 31-year-old man from North Perth was charged with careless driving, failure to remain and driving a motor vehicle without a license.
The man is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date.
