Junior B Hockey: Ayr gets past Stratford in overtime

Reid Forster scored the winner in overtime as the Ayr Centennials tripped up the Stratford Warriors 5-4 on Friday night at William Allman Memorial Arena. 

Jaxon Broda had tied the game for the Warriors, his eighth goal of the GOJHL MidWestern conference season, with just under five minutes remaining in the third period.

Joey Brehmer, with his 14th goal, Tyler Kelly, his fifth of the campaign, and Evan Hjelhot, with his first of the season, helped the Warriors out to a 3-1 lead in the second period. 

Mitchell Ferras, Ryan McKeller and Charlie Barnes scored three consecutive goals for the Centennials before Broda tied it up. 

Ethan Kowatsch stopped 22 shots for Ayr (27-18-1), while Carter McDougall had 31 saves for the Warriors (27-14-4).
