Dingman top local finisher at provincial XC meet

St. Marys DCVI novice boys team finishes in third sport at OFSAA championships

Jayda Houben of St. Michael competes in the novice girls' division at the OFSAA cross-country championships over the weekend. Houben finished 49th at the provincial meet in Etobicoke.

Kaleb Dingman of St. Marys DCVI finished in 18th spot in the junior boys' division at at the OFSAA cross-country championships held over the weekend. 

Dingman was the top local finisher among area runners at the provincial event in Etobicoke. 

Also in the junior boys' 5K race, Myles Clinton of St. Marys finished in 33rd spot and Noah Feltham of Stratford DSS finished 239th. 

Charlie Bender of St. Marys finished 23rd in the novice boys' 4K race, while teammate Nic Britnell was 27th, part of a team that included Ben Robson (184th) and Vaughn Barr (155th), that earned the third best team score in their division. 

Hudson Imrie of Listowel DSS was 62nd and Sebastian Voros of St. Michael CSS finished in 153rd position in the novice boys' division. 

In the novice girls' 4K race, Jayda Houben of St. Michael finished in 49th spot. Charlotte Richardson of St. Marys finished 95th. 

Daniel Ogilvie of Stratford DSS finished 34th in the senior boys' 6K race. 

In the senior girls' competition, also a 6K course, Charlotte Clinton of St. Marys finished in 115th spot.
