Breen Bentley has been named the Stratford & District Chamber of Commerce 2024 Business Leader Award recipient.
The owner of Bentley’s Bar Inn & Restaurant started working in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher at the age of 10.
He then honed his skills at other restaurants before graduating years later from the Stratford Chef School.
He purchased The Jesters Arms, changing the name to Bentleys.
“This will be Bentley’s Bar Inn & Restaurant’s 40th Anniversary and there really are too many people to thank for where I am today,” Breen said in a media release. “To begin with my Mother Doreen, my three hard working children, Breen Jr, Tanner and Brooklynn and my ‘little brother’ Jason Debus.”
“I love the bar business and without them all working here, I wouldn't still be doing what I'm doing."
Bentley will be joined by his three children when he’s presented with the award at the 28th annual Business Excellence Awards gala on May 2. He’ll also be a guest speaker.
The event to recognize local business leaders who have been exceptional will be held at the Best Western Arden Park Hotel.
