Woman pulled into SUV and sexually assaulted in New Hamburg

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault in New Hamburg.

It happened at around 3:30 p.m. Monday as a woman was walking in the area of Haysville Road and Bonaventure Drive.

Police say a man offered her a ride, then pulled her into his SUV and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, between 5’10” and 6’2” tall, with an average-to-heavy build, brown hair, a beard and blue eyes. 

He was wearing a teal-coloured T-shirt and black skinny jeans.

The vehicle is described as a four-door, newer model blue or black SUV, with tinted windows, silver rims, a sunroof and leather seats.

Anyone with information or security/dashcam video footage in the area of Haysville Road and Highway 8, as well as Haysville Road and Bonaventure Drive, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on March 4 is asked to call police at 519-570-9777.
