Tools, BB and pellet guns stolen in break-in at business

Thieves made off with tools and other items in a break-in at a business in Perth East on Sunday night.

Perth OPP investigated the break and enter at a Line 34, Perth East address at around 10:15 p.m.

Four suspects arrived in a Black Jeep, police said in a news release.

Once police arrived, it was determined that one or more thieves had forced entry into the building. 

They fled with a large quantity of tools, as well as several BB guns and pellet guns, police said.   

Car hits tree, man charged

A man faces charges after a car crash in Perth East over the weekend.

On Jan. 28, just before 11 a.m., police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Perth Line 107.

OPP said the vehicle was travelling too fast for road conditions and lost control and collided with a tree. 

The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

A 22-year-old resident of Tavistock has been charged with careless driving.

The accused was issued a provincial notice for the offence.
