A Listowel teen has been charged after Ontario Provincial Police say they were driving more than twice the posted speed limit.

OPP say the vehicle was pulled over just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday after it was spotted going 170 km/h in an 80 km/h zone of Perth Road 164 in North Perth.

The 19-year-old is now facing a charge of stunt driving - excessive speed.

In addition they were handed a 30-day driving suspension and the vehicle was impounded for two weeks.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charge.
