Head-on crash in Perth East sends two to hospital

Police say one driver suffered life-threatening injuries in crash on Line 34; one passenger also injured

A head-on collision on Line 34 Saturday night sent two people to hospital, one with critical injuries, police say.

Perth County OPP, Perth County Emergency Medical Services and Perth East Fire department responded to the crash at around 8:20 p.m. on Aug. 26.

One driver was transported to an out-of-town hospital with life-threatening injuries, the OPP said in a news release. Another passenger was transported with non-life threatening injuries.

Perth County OPP and the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team are investigating the collision.

As of this morning (Sunday) at about 8:45 a.m., Line 34 remained closed between Road 108 and Road 109, police. The road has since reopened.
