Four drivers face impaired charges in unrelated incidents

All had their license suspended and vehicle impounded

Perth OPP is reporting that four drivers have been charged with impaired driving-related offences during recent unrelated occurrences.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. on June 16, officers conducted a traffic stop on Line 34 in Perth East. After completing a standardized field sobriety test, the 43-year-old driver from Baden was charged with operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs.

At 2:30 a.m. on June 15, officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Perth-Oxford Road in Perth East. The driver, a 27-year-old Kitchener resident, faces charges of operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, and operation while Impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

A traffic stop was conducted around 3 a.m. on June 12 on Perth Road 164 in West Perth after Perth OPP officers observed concerning driving behaviour. A 23-year-old Perth South resident was charged with operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, and operation while Impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

During a RIDE check in the area of Main Street North in Perth East on June 10, officers stopped a 60-year-old driver from Debert shortly after 12:30 a.m. The driver was charged with operation while Impaired - blood alcohol concentration.

All of the accused were given 90-day administrative driver's license suspensions and seven-day vehicle impoundment as a result of these incidents.
