Four charged in Perth County drug bust

Search warrants resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone and oxycodone

A variety of drugs, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized during the execution of search warrants in Perth County on Feb. 29, 2024

Several people were arrested after Perth OPP found them in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, and drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash, and brass knuckles.

Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Perth County OPP, along with the West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, were involved in the drug trafficking investigation and/or subsequent arrests in North Perth on Feb. 29.

Police executed three Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at two residences on Wallace Avenue North and Elm Avenue North, and at a storage unit on Fairlane Road, in North Perth. As a result of the search warrants, another individual was arrested.

Total value of the drugs is $15,000. Total estimated value of the seized property is $1,200.

Two North Perth residents, ages 37 and 38, are charged with various drug offences including possession for the purpose of trafficking meth and opiods while another 38-year-old, also of North Perth, is charged with possession of meth and opioids. 

A 38-year-old from Wellington County, is charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order. 

Accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on April 22.
