Business in North Perth damaged and robbed of cash

Perth County OPP are investigating a break-and-enter at a Fairlane Road business in North Perth.  

Police said in a media release that sometime between 2:34 a.m. and 2:38 a.m. on Jan. 22, the building was entered and an unidentified amount of Canadian cash was taken.

Police are continuing to investigate and ask the public to report suspicious activity immediately, and remember to lock doors to vehicles, houses, garages, and sheds. Do not leave keys with vehicles, including ATVs. Consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, cameras, or alarms.

Two charged for failing to stop

Perth OPP are investigating after a vehicle failed to stop for police on Line 32 in West Perth.

On Jan. 21, at approximately 11:36 p.m., police attempted to stop a vehicle. The driver failed to do so and the vehicle was later found on Summerhill Road in Huron East. A 29-year-old from Seaforth is charged with:

  • Dangerous operation
  • Flight from peace officer
  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code

A 24-year-old female from Huron East has been charged with failure to comply with an undertaking

Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford. 

Refused service, broke a window

A North Perth man, 28, is charged with mischief under $5,000 for breaking a window at a North Perth Business. 

On Jan. 17, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., Perth OPP responded to a mischief call at a Wallace Avenue North address in North Perth.  

It was determined that a patron was refused service and while exiting the business broke a window.  

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date.
