A 28-year-old resident of West Perth was arrested on Nov. 16 after Perth County OPP launched an investigation into an historical domestic assault. Police say that while officers were investigating a threats occurrence, it was revealed that the victim had been assaulted more than two weeks prior. No injuries were reported. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face a spousal assault charge.
On Nov. 15, a police officer responded to a theft at a business located on Main Street in North Perth. The incident was captured on video surveillance and the accused was identified. A 24-year-old Atwood resident was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 as a result.
