Patti-Jo Schweitzer, of Milverton, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024 at the age of 46 after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of Ronald and Kathryn, and sister of Bobbi-Jo. She is survived by aunts and uncles Joy Schweitzer, Jim and Nancy McIsaac, Roy Charters and many cousins.
Predeceased by uncle Donald Schweitzer and aunt Donna Charters.
Patti-Jo is now enjoying a book and a beer on the beach in Cuba.
The family is grateful for the care Patti-Jo received during her journey, from the staff of Grand River Hospital and the home care nurses, but particularly for the care and compassion provided by her colleagues and friends from Knollcrest Lodge.
A celebration of Patti’s life will be held at the Perth East Recreation Complex, 40 Temperance Street, Milverton on Tuesday, January 9, from 1-4 p.m. with words of remembrance at 2:30 p.m. Donations in Patti-Jo’s memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 565 Milverton, HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre or Knollcrest Lodge.
