Bonnie Esther Rooney, age 77, of Stratford, passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Harvey and Beatrice (Riley) Neil.
Predeceased by her partner of 30 years Alphonse Verellen (Sept 2022). Survived by her loving children Sharon (Paul) Selvey, Michael (Jennifer) Rooney and Pete (Kathryn) Rooney. Grand mother of Matthew (Taylor), Scott (Krystal), Nicholas, Sarah, Jayden, Zachary, Kyler and great grandmother of Kingston. Bonnie will also be remembered by Shannon Rooney. She is survived by her sister Barb Miller and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie worked at Canada Fab for many years until the plant closed. Besides her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her many siblings.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
