Thunderstorm watch issued for Huron and Perth Counties

Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that can produce strong wind gusts and large hail

Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm watch for Huron and Perth Counties. 

Impacted areas include: 

  • Goderich - Bluewater - Southern Huron County
  • Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County
  • Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County
  • Wingham - Blyth - Northern Huron County

According to the alert, conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms can produce strong wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h and large hail.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Seek cover immediately if adverse weather approaches.
