Feedback sought on Milt Dunnell Field revitalization

St. Marys has launched an online survey to gather opinions on two conceptual designs

St. Marys is looking for public feedback on plans to redevelop Milt Dunnell Field.

The town has launched an online survey to gather opinions on two conceptual designs it hopes will improve accessibility, increase usability and attract more people to the park.

“The design concepts are a way to start the discussion,” says André Morin, director of corporate services in a news release. “We want to understand the types of amenities people would like to see in the park.”

That public input will be used to create a master plan for the park, which will then be handed over to the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority to ensure its feasible, sustainable and achievable.

“The final design may look very different or very similar to the concepts, depending on the feedback we receive and the recommendations we get from our external partners,” says Morin.

If approved by town council, the master plan will be phased in over several years, pending grant funding.

The online survey is open until June 16. Paper copies are available at St. Marys facilities.
