A traffic stop on Line 34 in West Perth early Sunday morning has lead to the arrest of a Clinton driver. The 27-year-old was charged with
operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) after a roadside screening device was administered.
On Saturday evening at approximately 10 p.m., Perth county OPP officers located a vehicle in a ditch on Perth Line 72 in Perth East. A roadside screening device was administered, and the 30-year-old driver from Waterloo was arrested and charged with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
A 41-year-old resident of Gowanstown faces a number of impaired charges following a traffic stop on Binning Street West in North Perth on Friday evening. The driver was given a standardized field sobriety test after the officer suspected the individual was driving while impaired by drugs. They were arrested and charged with:
• Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance - methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance - cocaine
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance - opioid (other than heroin) - two counts
• Operate unsafe vehicle
• Fail to surrender insurance card
• Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
