KAWARTHA LAKES – Police say a woman from Stratford was transported to hospital after a pickup truck she was a passenger in was involved in a collision in the Kawartha Lakes District on Sunday.

At around 7:40 p.m. City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, along with fire and EMS, were dispatched to the two-vehicle collision involving a car and a pickup at Highway 7 and County Road 46.

Occupants of the pickup, a 62-year-old male driver from Keswick and a 58-year-old female passenger from Stratford, were transported to a local hospital, police said in a news release.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old woman from Little Britain, was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre.

Highway 7 was closed for several hours while police reconstruction officers documented the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, the OPP said on Monday.
