Three people have been charged after Perth County OPP recovered a trailer stolen from Alberta.
Police, along with the county's emergency medical services and Perth East FD responded to the area of Road 119, near Line 47 for a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles around 8 p.m. on Feb. 5.
Three people were transported to hospital with injuries as a result of the collision. All three are facing charges.
Charges against a 29-year-old resident of Dundalk include:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Altering/destroying/removing a vehicle identification number
- Cause motor vehicle to operate without insurance
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
- Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
- Fail to surrender permit for trailer
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
Charges against a 24-year-old resident of Southgate include:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Charges against a 29-year-old resident of Dundalk include:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on March 4.
