Police want to stuff their cruisers for Christmas

Food and toy drives back for another season

With only one month until Christmas the Stratford Police Service is launching its annual stuff-a-cruiser toy and food campaigns this weekend in support of the House of Blessing and Salvation Army.

The first events are Saturday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Police will be at Walmart, 920 Ontario St., in Stratford and at Canadian Tire, 84 Wellington St. South, in St Marys.

On Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.the campaign shifts to Zehrs at 865 Ontario St. in Stratford, and at Your Independent Grocer at 780 Queen St. East, in St Marys, where police are looking to fill the cars with food.

On Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. food drives will be held at various locations throughout Stratford including Food Basics at 925 Ontario St., No Frills at 618 Huron St., Sobeys at 581 Huron St., and Giant Tiger at 477 Huron St.
