Police say 1 killed, 5 injured in crash in Perth East

PERTH EAST – Police say a local resident has died following a collision yesterday involving three vehicles in Perth County.

Police and emergency crews responded to the scene on Line 86 between Road 121 and Road 124 in Perth East just after 4 p.m. 

Perth County and Wellington County OPP, Perth East Fire Services, Mapleton Fire Services, Perth County Paramedic Services, and ORNGE air ambulance responded.

A 64-year-old resident of North Perth was pronounced deceased at the scene, the OPP said in a news release.

One person was transported to a trauma centre by ORNGE.

Four were transported to local hospitals.  

Perth Line 86 remained closed this morning between Road 121 and Road 124 due to the ongoing investigation, police said.
