OPP detachments from Perth County, Huron County and South Bruce are reminding everyone to drive safely this long weekend.

In a press release, the OPP say that officers will be out patrolling from Friday, July 29 to midnight on Monday, Aug 1, looking for aggressive or risky behavior behind the wheel.

The aim of the detachment team-up is to have a weekend free of serious injury and fatal collision, and through enforcement, awareness and visibility, the OPP said they hope this is achievable.

Drivers are reminded to always drive defensively and safely.

Those that choose to drive distracted, impaired by alcohol or drugs or aggressively can be expect to be stopped and charged.
