Police investigate mischief to multiple Pride flags

Perth County OPP are investigating after several flags were vandalized at a home in North Perth.

Three pride flags, a Black Lives Matter, Every Child Matters and abortion rights flags were damaged, as reported on Sept. 16.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents should immediately contact Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or leave an anonymous online message at www.hpcrimestoppers.com.

OPP want to remind all residents that if they see anything suspicious to please contact police immediately. If anyone is found committing acts of mischief, appropriate charges with be laid.

Traffic incident

 

On Sept. 15, OPP responded to a collision where the driver swerved to miss a deer on Line 52 in East Perth. The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree, but the 17-year-old driver was not injured. Police are reminding people to be cautious, especially after sunset, and in areas with high deer populations. If one does cross your path, break firmly and don't swerve.

Collision

On Sept 16, police responded to a collision on Perth Road 119 and Road 121 in East Perth. Their investigation indicates that a vehicle failed to yield to traffic on the through highway, and collided with another vehicle. A 21-year-old driver was ticketed for failing to yield and not having a valid license.

Dangerous operation

 

On Sept. 19, a driver collided with two parked vehicles while traveling at high speed. The incident took place Line 86 and Road 140. The 18-year-old driver is facing charges of dangerous operation and mischeif - destroy or damaged property and will appear in court at a later date.
