Perth East resident faces assault charges: OPP

Police say they responded to a disturbance call involving the 38-year-old earlier this month

A Perth East resident faces charges following an incident that took place earlier this month. 

Perth County OPP say they responded to a call around 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 in Perth East for a disturbance at a residence and initiated an investigation. 

As a result, a 38-year-old resident has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault. 

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
