OPP lay impaired charges, search for stolen trailer

Perth County OPP are searching for a trailer reported stolen from a residence in Perth East.    

Police say they began the investigation on March 14 after the victim realized that their 1993 Aluminum Viking pop up trailer wasn stolen from a family's residence on Church Street.

OPP remind citizens to keep all vehicles and buildings locked and report any suspicious activity immediately.

Impaired charges

A 32-year-old resident of North Perth is facing impaired charges following a complaint of a suspected impaired driver in North Perth.

Perth OPP say they responded to the complaint on March 16 around 2:11 a.m., located the vehicle and carried out the breath test for alcohol. 

The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to a local operations centre for further testing.

The 32-year-old driver has been charged with: 

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle - no licence

The accused has been released and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on April 24.
