One driver sent to hospital after North Perth collision

Perth County OPP have charged a 57-year-old resident of Mildmay following a collision in North Perth that sent one driver to a hospital. 

On March 10, around 8:50 a.m., emergency crews responded to a collision on Road 176 at Line 86.

The investigation revealed that a pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a van.

One driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, OPP said in a news release. 

As a result, the accused has been charged with failing to yield to traffic on through highway and was issued a provincial notice for the offence.

Shoplifting 

The Perth County OPP have charged two people, both from Kitchener, after they allegedly stole items from a business in North Perth. 

Police say they were called to a business on Mitchell Road South in Listowel on March 12 around 3:03 p.m. after two individuals were seen shoplifting.

Both accused, 34-year-old and 33-year-old, have been charged with theft under $5,000 - shoplifting.

They were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date.
