A collision Tuesday night sent a motorcyclist to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Insp. Mark Taylor of Stratford Police Service told StratfordToday that there was a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of West Gore Street and Erie Street at 9 p.m. that subsequently shut down the intersection for a period of time.

Insp. Taylor said that the collision involved a van and a motorcycle. After an investigation, the motorcyclist was charged for turning not in safety.

Insp. Taylor said that police are often called to that intersection. He is reminding the public to be cautious when driving.

“Look both ways when turning,” Insp. Taylor said. “Be cautious when making turns – from any direction.”
