$3,000 worth of jewelry stolen from Perth East business

A traffic complaint Tuesday evening on St. George Street in West Perth has lead to the arrest of a 19-year-old Mitchell resident for impaired driving.

Perth OPP said the accused is charged with: Young driver - B.A.C. above zero, Driver vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.

Jewelry stolen

Perth OPP responded to a report of a break and enter at a business on Fraser Street in Perth East on July 30 around 7:30 p.m. An alarm alerted the business owner, and approximately $3,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen.

Dirt bike stolen

A red/white 2005 Honda CRF 450R dirt bike was reported stolen from a residence located on Perth Lin 44 in West Perth on July 28. Police say the bike was stored in a shed that was not secured.

Stunt Drivers busted

A number of drivers were charged with stunt driving in Perth County over the long weekend. On July 31, a 30-year-old Waterloo resident was arrested after their vehicle was clocked travelling 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Perth Line 55 in Perth East and a 22-year-old resident of Milton was charged after their vehicle was clocked travelling 142 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Perth Line 72 in North Perth.

On July 30, 44-year-old Waterloo driver was charged after their vehicle was clocked travelling 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Perth Road 180 in West Perth and a 22-year-old resident of London was charged after their vehicle was clocked travelling 117 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Perth Rod 119 in Perth East.
