Mary “Betty” Isabella Taylor, age 88, of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland daughter of the late Samuel and Maisy (Hill) King. Betty is survived by her true love and best friend of 65 years Robert Nevin Taylor. Betty and Nevin both raised in Belfast met and decided to immigrate to Canada in July 1957 at the age of 22. The following year June 14, 1958, the two were married in Toronto and started a wonderful life. Proud mother of Kerry Kipfer and Glenn N. Taylor. Proud grandmother of Amy Lyoness, Mallory Lyoness, Victoria Sinko, Nevin Taylor and seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Betty worked for 25 years as office secretary before retiring from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (Stratford).
Family and Friends are invited to Betty’s visitation on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home.
