July 26, 1933  -  January 30, 2025

Reva Daisy Smith, age 91 of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Daughter of the late Warren and Daisy (Lindsay) Gregory. Reva was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Douglas, on February 17, 2007. Proud mother of Randy (Kathy), Paul, Judith (Greg) and Barbara (Paul). Loving grandmother to Shannan (Mark), Dani (Nick), Amy, Brent, Graham (Branton), Ryan (Olivia) and Avery. Great Grandmother to Cole, Sierra, Devin, Travis, Brianna, Kennedie, Landen, Derek, Trevor and Brilynn and Great Great Grandmother to Jackson. Reva will be fondly remembered by her brother Roy (Anita) Gregory, and in-laws Kate Gregory, Katherine Gregory, Thelma Smith, and Barry (Margo) Smith.

Reva graduated from Nursing in 1954. She spent her career working at Avon Crest Hospital, Stratford General Hospital and a number of local physician offices around Stratford.

She was very involved in the local community. At the time of her passing she was the longest active member of the Stratford Legion Women’s Auxiliary. While she had not played in years, Reva was a former member of the Municipal Golf course where she was former President and helped with the junior program. Reva enjoyed all kinds of different needle work and created hundreds of gifts for family, friends and charity over the years.

Besides her parents, Reva was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Ross Gregory, and in-laws Ernie Smith, Dave Smith and Ruth (Fred) Bothwell.

A warm thank you to Janine, her staff and all of her friends at Woodland Towers for making Reva’s time there very special.

In keeping with her wishes Reva will be cremated. A graveside service to take place at Avondale Cemetery on Wednesday February 5, 2025 at 1 pm, please dress warmly. Please meet just over the bridge off of Avondale Ave at 12:45 p.m. A celebration of Reva’s life will take place in the spring of 2025.
